1οΈβ£ Add Physics to the Hair
β
π© Quest 1: Create the Physics Deformer Hierarchy for each hair piece
π© Quest 2: Create all the Physics Parameters (Blend Shapes)
π© Quest 3: Deform each Physics Deformer
π© Quest 4: Add Physics Groups
β
Each hair strand or clump needs three deformers for full 3D-style physics movement:
[Hair Piece Name] Z
[Hair Piece Name] X
[Hair Piece Name] Y
π Example:
Repeat this setup for all hair pieces:
β
You'll need to create Blend Shape parameters for each of the 3 axesβX, Y, and Z.
These should follow this format:
All parameters: Min = -1, Default = 0, Max = 1
Format:
[Hair Category] X1
, X2
, X3
[Hair Category] Y1
, Y2
, Y3
[Hair Category] Z1
, Z2
π Examples for Bangs & Side Bangs:
Repeat for each hair group as needed depending on how many physics chains you're planning.
β
Every hair piece follows the same deformation logic!
Bang X1
Bang X2
Bang X3
β
β
Reflect the keyform for the opposite (-1) value to mirror the motion.
On the positive value (1), move the hair towards the Outside of the model (outward)!
π‘ For center bangs, deform outward to the viewerβs left (which is the model's right side).
β
Bangs Y1
Bang Y2
Bang Y3
β
Create a physics group for each axis (X and Y) of the hair.
Bangs X

Bangs Y
