🚩 Quest 1: Create Eyebrow Y Movement

We’ll use the following Deformers and Parameters:

🧱 Deformers:

  • Eyebrow Open/Close
    • Eyebrow Y
      • Eyebrow_Left
      • Eyebrow_Shadow_Left
  • Eyelash - Eyebrow Y
    • Eyelash - Eyebrow Angle/Form

🔁 Don’t worry about the Right Eye — we’ll copy these deformers later.

🧩 Parameters:

  • EyeL Open
  • EyeL Smile
  • BrowL Y
  • BrowL Angle
  • BrowL Form

Let’s get started with keying the Eyebrow Open/Close deformer:

🧭 EyeL Open = 0.2, EyeL Smile = 0

This is the eye nearly closed. Drop the eyebrow slightly to follow the shape.

🧭 EyeL Open = 1.8, EyeL Smile = 0

Fully open eye — bring the eyebrow up slightly to reflect energy or surprise.

🧭 EyeL Open = 1, EyeL Smile = 1

Smiling expression — curve the eyebrow upward for a cheerful look.

Now go ahead and fill in the rest of the 8 parameter positions so the eyebrow blends naturally with the eye.

🚩 Quest 2: Create Eyebrow Y, Angle/Form Movement

All movements here will be applied to the "Eyebrow_Left" ArtMesh.

🔧 BrowL Y Movements:

  • BrowL Y = 1 → Push the eyebrow upward
  • BrowL Y = -1 → Pull the eyebrow downward

🔧 BrowL Angle Movements:

  • BrowL Angle = 1 → Tilt the front of the eyebrow downward
  • BrowL Angle = -1 → Tilt the back of the eyebrow downward

🔧 BrowL Form Movements:

  • BrowL Form = 1 → Push the arch of the eyebrow upward
  • BrowL Form = -1 → Flatten the arch or make it sag

✨ Synthesize Corners:

Once you’ve keyed those values, select both BrowL Angle and BrowL Form, then go to:

Palette Menu > Synthesize Corners…

This will auto-generate the corner positions, which you can clean up manually.

Now you’ve completed Y movement, angle, and shape control for the brow!

🚩 Quest 3: Link the Eyebrow Movement to the Eye

To make sure your eyelashes and brows move as a single unit, we’ll apply the brow parameters to the eyelash deformers.

🧱 On the "Eyelash - Eyebrow Y" Deformer:

  • BrowL Y = 1 → Raise the lashes
  • BrowL Y = -1 → Lower the lashes

🧱 On the "Eyelash - Eyebrow Angle/Form" Deformer:

  • BrowL Angle = 1 and -1 → Tilt the lash motion with the brow
  • BrowL Form = 1 and -1 → Add shape compression/expansion linked to the brow’s shape

Now, the eyelash motion will mirror the eyebrow emotion, giving your eyes much more expression!
